Communication R.E.B.O.O.T.

I have a freebie for you- and who doesn’t like freebies??!!

Can you guess the number one reason couples seek therapy?

Is it cheating? No.

Finances? No again!

Conflict? Good guess, but not quite.

Issues with family? Childrearing? Chores? Nope, nope, and nah.

The number one reason couples come to therapy is issues with communication!!! It is communication- or the lack thereof- that leads to those conflicts! Many times, couples report that while they used to communicate well, now they argue a lot, or keep having the same arguments over and over. Some say they never communicated well at all! When they fight, they get really heated, and they might yell and scream, or throw things, or someone just checks out. What’s common in any of the scenarios is the exhaustion that comes from doing the same thing over and over and never getting anywhere… I often hear “there’s no point in talking, because nothing ever gets resolved.” But…

What if there was a better way? What if it was possible to have those hard conversations effectively? What if you could talk to your partner and feel heard and respected, and they felt heard and respected too?

That’s where my new teachable class Communication R.E.B.O.O.T. comes in! Communication R.E.B.O.O.T. consists of seven different modules designed to help people- yes, you can take it if you’re single to better interact with anyone!- communicate clearly and more effectively. Effective communication is not something we’re born knowing how to do, and most of us had terrible examples of how to communicate at home (sorry mom and dad…). This course covers seven integral areas to effective communication:

Respect Effort Balance Open-minded Open-questions Timing

And, as an appetizer to the main course, I’m giving away a mini-course on this topic FOR FREE!!! This mini-course addresses one of the most overlooked and necessary parts of effective communication strategy: timing. I know- everyone knows that you have to “choose the right time to talk”- that’s important, but it’s not what this module addresses! Check out this FREE mini-course to learn the integral aspects of timing that are necessary for effective communication!
